Weapon Attachments "DEAD GOOD IDEA"(ALAN)
ALAN "All in
all though I think it’s a very good idea and would definitely expand their
weapon possibilities"
Response: Overall, I was happy that Alan saw the concept as being a good idea.
Feedback
· Weapon Mount: Decreases recoil and increases accuracy.
Makes player slower due to added
weight. (Combat & Sniper Rifles only)

·
Grip: Increases accuracy and aim of the weapon
·
Flashlight: Creates a light source for players to use
in dark environments.
·
Laser Designator:
After designated an enemy, will have a lock on for a period of time.
·
FMJ: Increases the damage of the weapon it’s attached
to.
·
Scopes/Zooms: (Different zooms 4% & 12%) ALAN: should it not be 4x? Just a
thought
(can’t be attached to a weapon with a pre-set zoom etc. most snipers)

·
Reload LULA: Decreases reload time
·
Silencer: When enemy has been shot by it, takes a
period longer for them to notice the player. Giving more time to deal damage
·
Red Dot Sight: Adds a sight to the weapon if doesn’t
have on built on.
·
Launchers: This sprays or bursts out an element in the
game. There are 5 elements (fire,
shock, corrosive, explosive, slag) in the game which are attributed to the players, enemies and
weaponry. Player can attach an elemental launcher which will disperse an allowed amount of
the weapon as an extra attack on the weapon.

ALAN "Would be possibly nice to see some original attachment ideas? It’s good
to have the
standard things done but it would be nice to see some other crazy attachments that
borderlands 2 would allow. Such as different ammunition
types like ice, or lava or something crazy.Or like an attachment that allowed you to
fire a bomb that created a mini black hole for people to get sucked into or some kind of
crazy launcher that fired a miniature sun that went through multiple enemiesas opposed to
just using a grenade launcher etc. I haven’t played Borderlands 2 myself
so I could be wrong but I do think that you can get away with crazy things like this."

Response:
The concept of having my own invented attachments in the game is actually pretty awesome of
an idea. Mainly because of the game itself being crazy, as he mentioned, this could easily be
created and implemented into the game.
The main reason I didn’t do it because of the restrictions Borderlands unconsciously puts down.
With the set elements in the game, creating a new element would mess the game up
and in itself, create a new mechanic. Sticking to original mechanics and adjusting them
to the purpose I intended was what I wanted to do was utilising an existing mechanic and
create a new mechanic deriving from that.
So even though I understand the originality of the concept, I think it’s essential to understand
that by creating something new, I go away from my original purpose in this mechanic so I think
using pre-existing mechanics is the way I should stay. More attachment could be made, but in
the need of a new mechanic really.
Also corrected the small mistake for the 4x & 12x.
